Adobe illustrator Crash Course – The Ultimate Starter Course
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
- Free trial or full version of Adobe Illustrator (any version, but preferably CC)
I designed this course for someone who has had limited time in illustrator® but wants to learn the program. This course is less about graphic design theory (although there is theory sprinkled throughout) and more about learning the basics of Adobe Illustrator. This is the perfect starter course for someone interested in becoming a freelance graphic designer or a small business owner interested in doing their own graphic and promo materials.
What Can I Expect?
I designed this course for someone who has had limited time in illustrator®, but I do recommend acquiring the software before starting the course to familiarize yourself with the basic functions and buttons. There is a free trial of Adobe creative suite available on Adobe. I also move at a quick pace, there is so much to pack into this course, so I designed the videos with playback in mind, and I expect and encourage you to re-watch videos. This is a starter course so not everything can be covered, but this course will give the essentials to get started.

Let’s Create a Flyer!
I just added on a new Circular (Seal) logo design course as an add-on bonus section!
Now that you have learned the basics of Adobe Illustrator, now it is time to practice! Join me as I take you through the steps of creating a circular seal type logo in Adobe Illustrator.
I will take you through the entire process of a logo design project. We will learn the all-important “type on path” tool to create that circular text effect used on seal type logos. We will also explore textures, colors, and fonts to create a finished professional logo.
I plan to add more content as time goes by. I would love to hear what type of additional content you guys would like to see. Or if there is any Adobe illustrator basics you want a more detailed lecture or bonus section on. I also planned on doing a more detailed pen tool section to help us practice the most important tool in illustrator! As a current or future student, this additional content will be added on for free as an extended lecture on this course.
